At Renick Brothers we have the “in house” expertise to handle the toughest Commercial HVAC work in the Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio markets. Our list of completed projects includes jobs ranging in size and scope from replacing antiquated equipment such as chillers and boilers to performing the entire Division 23 Mechanical work on hospitals, schools, office buildings and apartments.

All of our projects are assigned a Project Manager who interacts with the owner and all the key players from the GC to our own subcontractors. Communication is the essential ingredient in any successful HVAC project.

Interfacing with the public while accomplishing work takes a special effort often overlooked by most contractors. Preventative Maintenance

The easiest way to make sure your operating bills are low — is to take a little time to make sure that your heating and cooling equipment is in good working order.

Having a comprehensive planned maintenance program in place has many advantages beyond lessening occupant complaints. Planned maintenance is the number one way to get energy cost savings in any building. Besides reducing energy usage, regular maintenance prolongs the life of your heating and cooling equipment and can provide substantial savings through proactive repairs and replacement over reactive “breakdown” repairs.

Commercial maintenance programs are not “one size fits all.” Your building is unique and requires a tailor-made program that fits your size, system, and, most importantly, your budget. Renick Brothers can help you create a program that fits your maintenance needs.

Sheet Metal

Renick Brothers fabrication shop facilities consist of 50,000 square feet. We have capacity for rolling, forming and braking sheet metal products. Our shop is equipped with state of the art sheet metal fabricating equipment including a coil line with TDCTransverse Connections, Sound Lining and Auto sealer, Vulcan/Lockform2900 Dual Task Plasma Cutters, Whisper Lock & Dual head Cornermatic machines, Lockformer Water Jet Liner Cutting System, various roll-forming equipment, and high frequency welding machines for stainless steel and aluminum.

The Estimating Department is completely computerized and supported by customized computer programming, networked with our job costing system and our Project Management Team. This system allows assembly of comprehensive bid packages in an efficient and accurate format.

A completely computerized Coordination Department and our detailing technicians utilize the latest version of Auto Desk Based & NAVIS Works Compatible 3D Intelligent Models with Clash Detection Capabilities to produce accurate BIM (Building Information Modeling) coordinated shop drawings. Once completed, these documents can be directly down loaded to our plasma cutting equipment for fabrication.

Building Information Modeling

While they may be today's construction buzz words, Building Information Modeling is not a new concept to the employees of Renick Brothers. Our project teams have been using advanced, computer-aided coordination tools for decades, facilitating a streamlined approach to deliver mechanical system installations of the highest quality, on schedule, at the lowest possible cost.

Renick Brothers has used 3D CAD and MEP design software platforms to model, coordinate and fabricate mechanical systems for over 20 years. Advances in software technology over the last 10 years have increased our ability to further integrate the use of these tools into our business processes, as well as communicate ideas and opportunities with other project stakeholders in real-time. With access to the industry's most advanced BIM tools, our project teams collaborate with other project stakeholders to effectively coordinate the most efficient and cost effective mechanical systems. Once completed, project teams utilize the coordinated, clash-free model to extract installation shop drawings and fabrication drawings for multiple field applications. Sheet metal Ductwork downloads, plumbing and piping isometrics, and hanger drawings are just a few examples of how our project teams use the final model to prefabricate items for installation. This prefabrication aids in moving labor to our off-site fabrication facilities, further reducing field installation time, and working to improve overall schedule durations.

Our professional BIM technicians, led by our BIM manager, are experienced in designing and coordinating mechanical and plumbing systems for multiple applications and industries, with the versatility to handle projects of any type. Whether it's a complex healthcare facility, or a mechanical room retrofit, Renick Brothers experienced technicians, designers, and field personnel utilize BIM technologies to facilitate design, coordination, fabrication and installation.

Let us lead and facilitate your BIM project coordination effort. As a mechanical contractor, our BIM technicians are highly skilled in space management, with a deep understanding of the coordination process. Our seasoned project teams can lead your project to a successful, coordinated, clash-free and completed model.
